HONOLULU SUN NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!
Come meet Honolulu Sun and other great adoptable dogs this Saturday (01/04) from 12-2 pm at the Petco in Fairfax, VA (10708 Fairfax Blvd, Fairfax, VA 22030)!
Name:Honolulu Sun Best Guess for Breed:Shepherd/retriever mix
Best Guess for Age:1 year as of October 2024 SEX: female
Estimated Weight: 55 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs! While Honolulu Sun does not have experience living with children, she has interacted with very young children inside and outside the home and has done very well with them. We have not seen her with cats, but she can be tested if you have them.
Currently Living at: DC area boarding partner. She'd love a foster home while she waits for her forever home!
Honolulu Sun is Looking For: Her forever home! This beautiful girl promises you'll always be walking on the sunny side when she's with you. Honolulu Sun is full of young-dog energy and zest for life. She's looking for someone to take her on lots of walks, runs, or hikes, and she's also looking forward to making lots of new friends at the dog park! She also can't wait to give obedience school a try so she can learn some tricks and good manners. Most of all, Honolulu Sun just wants a safe home where she knows she will be loved and cared for all of her days.
What My Foster Says About Me: Honolulu is an adorable shepherd mix with plenty of puppy energy. She loves long walks, trips to the dog park, playing fetch, and hikes with trails for sniffing. Her favorite game during walks is finding the biggest stick to trot around with. She is always receiving compliments on walks and at the dog park for how cute and friendly she is. After getting out some of her puppy energy she loves to take long naps in the coziest space she can find. She also has the softest medium length fur with mickey mouse ears on her side! Honolulu is extremely smart and knows sit, paw, and lay down. She sleeps well in her crate during the night if she is near her human, and is still working on crate training when left alone. She is very curious and loves following her humans around to learn about new things - like vacuums, dishwashers, and showers (I usually see a nose peeking in). She can get overwhelmed and anxious in new environments but thrives on routine. Honolulu will make a wonderful adventurous companion!
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.
