Best Guess for Age:11 months as of September 2024 SEX: female
Estimated Weight: 42 lbs on 8/27/24
Gets Along With: Other dogs! While Honolulu Sun does not have experience living with children, she has met young children in the home and on walks and does well with them. We have not seen her with cats, but she can be tested.
Currently Living at: DC area foster home. Honolulu Sun needs a forever home!
Honolulu Sun is Looking For: Her forever home! This beautiful girl promises you'll always be walking on the sunny side when she's with you. Honolulu Sun is full of young-dog energy and zest for life. She's looking for someone to take her on lots of walks, runs, or hikes, and she's also looking forward to making lots of new friends at the dog park! She also can't wait to give obedience school a try so she can learn some tricks and good manners. Most of all, Honolulu Sun just wants a safe home where she knows she will be loved and cared for all of her days.
What My Foster Says About Me:Honolulu Sun is such a sweet girl! She loves to go for lots of walks, and she LOVES other dogs, so she does great at the dog park. She also enjoys doing doggy puzzles to keep her mind sharp. She is a good student at doggy school and walks well on the leash. She has even met my 6 month old goddaughter and was sweet in nuzzling her feet under close supervision.
Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken. All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!
