We have approved an adoption for Santiago. Please check out our other great dogs!!!
Name: Santiago Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Basset
Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of September 2024 SEX: male
Approximate Weight: 16 lbs as of 9/7/24 - he is still growing!
Gets Along With: With other dogs. We have tested him with some of the cats at the shelter, and he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that he could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! We haven’t seen Santiago with kids, but he can be tested!
Currently Living at: At a shelter and needs a forever or foster home to get his freedom ride to the area.
Special adoption considerations: After being rescued from the streets, he was very scared and shut down. However, he has been making great strides. We think Santiago would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence.
Santiago is Looking For: His forever family to teach him about of the finer points of being a secure and loving environment. He would love a soft bed rest his head and lots of sniffy walks to learn about his new world. Most of all, he would love to snuggle with you and show how much he appreciates being a part of your family.
