My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please contact Chelsea Powell (chelseap@luckydoganimalrescue.org) for more information about this pet.

Sweet girl looking for her forever home!

PANDA NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!

Name:    Panda    Best Guess for Breed:   Heeler and Beagle Mix

Guess for Age:    9 months as of September 2024    Gender:    Female

Approximate Weight: 27 lbs

Gets Along With: Other dogs! We have tested Panda with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Panda could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack! Panda also hasn't been seen with kids but can be tested.

Currently Living At: Shelter -- Panda needs a foster or forever home to get her freedom ride!

Special Adoption Considerations: After being rescued from the streets, she was very scared and shut down. However, she has been making great strides. We think Panda would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence.

Panda is Looking For: A forever family to call her own! She would love to begin her puppy era enjoying long walks, trips to the dog park, and going on new adventures with her people. Because she is still very much a puppy, Panda would enjoy showing her family how smart she is by graduating with honors from training! With the right amount of structure and love, Panda will be the perfect companion and addition to the right family.

What My Foster Says About Me: We will update once Panda has spent some time in her foster home.

Lucky Dog cannot guarantee any dog is housebroken.  All of our dogs are working on their crate training.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

The adoption process begins when you submit an adoption application either online or at an adoption event. The individual responsible for the dog you are interested in adopting - a position we call the “adoption coordinator” - will then set up a time to discuss your application over the telephone. The adoption coordinator will check your vet reference to make sure all current and past pets were kept up-to-date with their shots and medical care. The adoption coordinator will also set up a home visit with one of our trained volunteers. That individual will come to your home to ensure that it is a safe environment, to confirm that everyone in the home is on board with adopting a dog, and to discuss any other questions you may have about dog adoption!

Our adoption events are held each weekend. A schedule of times and locations can be found at www.luckydoganimalrescue.org.
