Hi! My name is Jade. I am a stunning lab mix. We know my mom was a yellow lab mix (possibly with some Pyrenees). My dad was either a black lab mix or a Pyrenees mix. Ha! Whatever I am, I am pretty neat. You should see my coat - I am not all black, I have a chocolate undercoat! I am about 7 to 8 months and about 41 lbs. I am kind of lanky and have long legs. I am a really special dog. My foster family says I am an "old soul" and I am such a docile creature. Some facts about me - I am great with other dogs. I am good with big/small/male/female. I also can hold my own if a dog is in my face but I am certainly not assertive. I would love a playmate in my new home (and it might get me over the initial hesitancy hump) but what is the most important is loving and patient family. I am attached to my foster family because, well, they are the first family I have known. I live with three kids over 8 too. I am great when all of their friends come over. If I get nervous, I just sit back and watch. I will be nervous when I meet new people at first, especially if they are ultra focused on me. If they give me some time, I will warm up. I just have to make sure they are safe (I look to my foster mom for those cues and the other dogs in the home to help me a bit). I am crate trained and I am housebroken! And, I have really enjoyed my limited leash time. I am working on it! I am happy to see other dogs but the people on the bikes make me a little confused! :) I'm super smart. I am also medium energy. I can run and have fun but I really like to lounge too;I am a dream during the day and can keep myself entertained with toys if you work from home. I am in a foster home in NJ and would love to meet you (or see you from afar)! https://asecondchanceforziva.org/adopt/adoption-process-application/
