My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Frankie is looking for a foster home to relax in while he is recovering.

Reason for Foster: Ringworm & FELV+

Foster Time Frame: 1 Week

Foster Care Plan: Frankie is being treated for ringworm which is a fungal skin infection. This can be contagious, so we recommend that he is kept in a room away from other pets and that you are sure to wash your hands or change clothing after interacting with him. A room without carpet or upholstered furniture is recommended. Frankie will go home with an antifungal medication and will have a recheck with the medical team in 1 week to hopefully be cleared to move forward with is neuter surgery and adoption. We will provide a medical consultation at pickup, so you are fully prepared to take great care of this kiddo.

FeLV+ (Feline Leukemia Virus) is a condition that can affect a cat's lifespan, but many cats with this virus can still live happy and healthy lives for a long time. While FeLV+ is not easily transmitted to humans, it can be spread among cats through saliva, urine, feces, and blood. For this reason, we recommend that FeLV+ cats be the only cat in a household or live with other FeLV+ cats.

Foster to Adopt Program:
Frankie is available through our Foster to Adopt program, which allows pets awaiting or undergoing medical treatment to be placed with prospective adopters before they are made available for adoption.
