Meet handsome Whiskey! Whiskey is an adorably sweet 16 year old neutered male cat that is looking for his retirement home. Whiskey came to us when his owner could no longer care for him and we knew something wasn't right. We sent some blood work in and discovered that he was diabetic. With a change in diet and a medication, he is feeling much better! This sweet boy will need to be on prescription food and medication for the rest of his life but he loves the food and takes his meds really well! We will give you a month supply of food as well as his meds so you can help him get settled into his new environment.
He doesn't seem to fazed by other cats and friendly dogs and he loves meeting with our kid volunteers so we think this boy is going to be pretty easy going! Whiskey hopes to find a home where he can watch the birds outside and hang with his family. He is a very loving boy that deserves a home where he can flourish and be loved!

Cats are $70.00, kittens are $100. Dogs are $100.00 and puppies are $150. This includes the spay or neuter, vaccination, microchips, a voucher for a free health exam at a local vet. We require photo identification and required adoption paperwork. You may take your new pet home the same day. There is a 7 day grace period for a refund to make sure that the animal is a fit for your household.

Eagle County Animal Shelter and Services handles all of the animal control and animal shelter services for Eagle County. We are a small shelter and are considered socially conscious, which means we are "no-kill" for space. We are always looking for volunteers, foster homes, and item donations. If you are interested in donating to the shelter we have a wish list available that includes lots of items that we use everyday here at our shelter to benefit the dogs and cats directly. Please call us at 970-328-DOGS if you are interested in volunteering. We love to have people come in to socialize our cats and walk and socialize the dogs. Come see us!!
