-All people! Kids included. Midnight prefers a calm approach so he can properly get to know you before all the living starts though!
-Toys! He enjoys the art of dissecting the stuffy.
-To go for walks
-To practice his commands
-His crate.
-Dogs! Midnight appeared coexistent and avoidant with certain dogs, but with the right one he KNEW what was goin` on! Midnight has great push and pull skills and is respectful of other dogs space while also engaging in chase play. He matches best with confident, balanced dogs.
-Cats! Midnight has lived in a home with cats and while he can appear playful and bouncy, he will also let them be.

We try to make the process as smooth as possible and we want to set you and your new pet up for success. We always recommend doing a meet and greet with your dog before adding a new dog to your home and we are always happy to help with that.

We are a municipal shelter that takes in 2500-3000 animals a year. We are a small shelter with a dedicated team that works hard to keep the citizens and animals of Clay County safe and healthy. We rely on foster families and adopters to help us continue the work that we do.
