Hi, there! I'm Dolan. I'm an adorable and friendly beagle boy! Until recently, I lived in an animal testing laboratory where I was subjected to painful experiments. Did you know that animal testing involves experimentation on friendly and innocent dogs like me? Now that I've been rescued by Beagle Freedom Project, I am so excited to start my new life and find a loving adopter! I can be shy at first, but once I know you won't hurt me, we'll become best friends! I am suuuuuuuper cuddly, snuggly, and loving once I feel safe. I love other dogs and will be happiest in a home with another friendly dog (or two)! My dream is to be adopted from BFP with my best friend, Cosmo, so that we can stay together! Won't you consider adopting me so that I can blossom into the joyous beagle that I'm meant to be?

Interview
If your application is approved, you will be contacted by our team for a pre-adoption interview.

Home Check
After your pre-adoption interview, you will join a video call with our team to complete a virtual home check.
4.
Take the Pet Home
Once your interview, home check, and reference checks are complete, you will pick up your new companion to begin an adoption trial.
5.
Sign Adoption Contract
If, after an adoption trial, you decide that your new companion is your perfect match, you will then sign the adoption contract.

ABOUT OUR ADOPTION PROCESS: Standardly, Beagle Freedom Project does not facilitate animal meet and greets. Instead, we begin all BFP adoptions with a trial-period; this is called ‘fostering-to-adopt’. At BFP, we believe that the best way for an adopter to be certain that an animal is their perfect match is by giving them an opportunity to truly know each other before finalizing an adoption. As BFP animals come from such traumatic pasts, they can often be shy upon a first meeting. Foster-to-adopt trials allow these special animals an opportunity to decompress and show their authentic personality before an official adoption decision is made.
