Fun, Playful & Full of Adventure

Meet Lexi Lou, a fun, playful, and curious 3-year-old beagle mix with lots of love to give!

She’s potty and crate trained, about 20 pounds, healthy, spayed, and up to date on shots.

Fun & Playful – enjoys playing with her toys – fetch with a ball is her favorite! Would thrive in an active household where she can get the exercise and playtime she enjoys. A fenced-in yard or play area is ideal, but not necessary (brisk, mini walks, and some 1:1 game time is typically enough to keep her mind content – like most dogs!) Best suited for a home with older children (small children may find her a bit overwhelming with her joyful energy).

Cuddly – likes to snuggle and cozy up in a chair with you or relax/ take naps in her doggie bed.

Friendly – appears sociable and shows excitement and interest in meeting other dogs/people. Her way of saying “I’d like to meet you” is standing up on her hind legs when others pass by. She just has to learn the proper etiquette to contain her joy.

Eager to Learn – Lexi has learned some basic commands (sit) and has become a great walking buddy with leash training. Although she’s still learning her manners around the home (not getting on furniture until/unless permitted), and proper social greetings with other dogs & people, with a bit of training, she’ll be a social butterfly! Learning (and getting treats) is something she finds fun, and she catches on pretty quick!

Curious, Perceptive & Observant – She likes to explore and take notice of the world around her. Finds all the amusings of the outdoors fascinating and interesting, so quiet walks seem to work best in keeping her focused. Indoors, she seeks out things of interest, so keeping doggy toys, along with a safe environment and good eye around her, are best. At times she may show uncertainty, but her sense of confidence grows as she adapts to new things.
