Meet Blaze, a young, energetic Black Mouth Cur who’s looking for an active family to call his own!

Blaze is full of life and loves nothing more than to run, play, and enjoy the company of other dogs. He’s got a lot of energy, so if your household is ready for some action, Blaze will be your perfect companion!

This spirited boy is known for his zoomies—those delightful bursts of energy where he races around with pure joy. He loves a good game of chase or tag with his doggy pals, and his enthusiasm is contagious. Blaze is always up for an adventure, whether it’s a long hike, a trip to the beach, or just a fun day in the backyard.

Submit Application

Interview

Macomb County Animal Control will verify proper preventative care history of past/current pets and verify home ownership/review a pet policy

3.
Approve Application

Once an application is approved the adoption coordinator will schedule a time with the applicant/family to meet the pet.

4.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a meet-and-greet is successful the family has an opportunity to finalize the adoption.

5.
Pay Fee

Each pet has an established adoption fee and payment can be accepted in the form of credit/debit, check or cash.

6.
Take the Pet Home

Additional adoption info

Fees very depending on age, animal, breed, etc. Fees vary and are established by the county to help offset medical and care expenses.

You are required to fill out an adoption application that is subject to review. We reserve the right to deny any application for any reason. If you would like to adopt and dog and already have a dog/s, please bring your dog/s with you so we can make sure the dogs get along. If you rent your home, live in a condo or mobile home community, please bring proof that you are allowed to have pets.
