Emmy Lou (along with siblings Dolly and Waylon) was abandoned in a rural area and rescued by a Good Samaritan. Now in a foster home, she is a happy, roly-poly puppy, house and crate trained and doing great with leash walking. She loves to play with her siblings and give kisses! Her ideal home is one where mom or dad work from home or part time.
We originally thought Lab/Shepherd mix, but her legs are staying short and her body long so maybe Dachshund too!
She was born 6/25/2024, is fully vaccinated, microchipped, been wormed, had flea prevention and already on HW preventative. Her adoption fee includes her spay when 6 months old (she has a spay appointment January 6th) and that procedure will be performed at our vet in Terrell.
Please remember that puppies need a lot of time, patience, positive reinforcement, training and love. If you have that to give and want to meet Emmy Lou, please request an application! A fenced yard and vet reference are required.
We adopt in the DFW area only (within an hour's drive from Terrell) as we deliver our pets to their new homes.

Our Board encompasses over 25 years of animal rescue experience and our focus is on area City shelters to decrease euthanasia and increase adoption rates of their shelter population. We also rehome and place strays to prevent entrance to these shelters.
