My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Stella was found hopping around a neighborhood in Winter Haven early in 2022. She was just a baby at the time. Fortunately, a concerned person saw her and was able to scoop her up and bring her to safety. Since then Stella has blossomed into a beautiful floof of a bun and is loving life in her foster home. She is an excellent litter box user, she loves binkying around in her room, and she gets along well with all in her foster home, including the resident dog and cats. This is a well-adjusted and happy girl!

Stella is a fetching combination of Californian (white fur with gray ears, nose and feet) and lionhead (adorable forehead tufts). She has a sweet disposition and loves to snuggle and play. She will let you know when it is time to pet her as she is very demanding of the attention that she deserves for being such a cute bun. Stella is an excellent hay eater and very much enjoys her greens, with Romaine lettuce and cilantro being her favorites. She enjoys playing with stacking cups, exploring inside boxes and under her bed, using a foraging mat, and any other toys she can get. Stella is a curious and energetic girl but also enjoys her quiet time and receiving pets. She can’t wait to meet her forever family!

We adopt to indoor homes only! If you are interested in adopting a bunny from Orlando Rabbit Care and Adoptions or would like more information on rabbit care, please visit our website at: http://www.orlandorabbit.org. The first step to our adoption process is to complete an adoption application, which can be found here: https://petstablished.com/adoption_form/55856/generic . Then one of our volunteers will reach out to you via email to schedule a time to speak with you. If you don’t see the email in a day or two, please check your spam folder!

Our Adoption Fee/Donation for a single rabbit is $100, a pair is $170, and a triple is $200. This helps to offset the cost of having the rabbits altered, microchipped and vaccinated, as well as any medical care that may have been required.

Additional adoption info

For those that want to bond a new rabbit with an existing rabbit, we conduct bonding events where the home rabbit can meet several rabbits to find a potential match. We work with the adopting family to help ensure that the rabbits bond. We take back the adoptive rabbit if there is not a match.

Our adoption agreement specifies that we will take any adopted rabbit back, should the home situation change in the future.

Go meet their pets

We are a foster-based rescue where our available animals are kept in private homes.

You can see our rabbits online, then make an appointment to meet the rabbit(s) you select.

From time-to-time, we conduct adoption events where you can meet multiple rabbits. Because of RHDV2, these events have been paused.

More about this rescue

We are a rescue and educational group dedicated to the health, care and enjoyment of house rabbits. We believe that pet rabbits are family members and should be housed indoors, should be fed a healthy diet, should be spayed or neutered, and should receive quality medical care. Our organization strives to provide bunny parents with information to help them care for their rabbit.
