Meet Benny! Benny was roaming in a neighborhood for many weeks while people tried to help him and then taken to a local Tennessee shelter. Benny is 1-2 yrs old, Dudley Labrador that is super sweet. Benny is crate and potty trained, quiet and mid energy level. Thus far he has been a gem of a dog to care for. He rides great in a vehicle. Doesn't know cues, but we are working on it. He is a total sweetheart! Fine around other dogs. He will be an excellent companion and just requires additional training. Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption Inc., goal is to place homeless dogs into loving homes and families. We take special care to match the right home with the right dog, ensuring a lifetime of love for both the pet and the adopter. You are required to fill out a pre-adoption application to get qualified, provide vet and other references, allow a home inspection and sign adoption agreement and pay an adoption donation.

Southern Skies Labrador Rescue & Adoption, Inc. (SSLR) is a non-profit dedicated to the rescue and adoption of Labradors and other working dog breeds that have been abandoned at Alabama kill shelters, owner surrenders and strays. We strive to communicate for the voiceless by working closely with local and national animal rescues and other groups for the benefit of animal welfare and to promote changes in our local Alabama laws.
