My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Get ready to Have a Cow! This rambunctious little guy is 10lbs of fun! Cow is very playful, loving and oh so smart. We think he`d be a terrific dog to teach tricks to. He does get nippy from time to time, so he should not be in a home with kids under 10. But Cow loves to play with the other dogs, so if you have another dog we recommend bringing them along to meet him. Cow is looking for a home that will let him have all of the walks, treats, toys and fun his little heart desires. And once he`s done playing, he LOVES to be snuggled in your arms! So let this Cow come home!

Cow is currently in a wonderful foster home!

More about this shelter

Our shelter had it's beginnings in the mid 90's and formally became a nonprofit organization in 2001. The dream of Lee and Sophia DiClemente has grown to be the largest no-kill animal shelter in New Mexico. Lee passed in 2010, but Sophia carries on with the support of a small staff, a large number of volunteers, and numerous donors - large and small.
