My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Howdy folks, my name is Willie, and I was left behind at a veterinary clinic in Floresville Texas with my brother Waylon when our owner could no longer care for us. We were taken in by a lady who fosters for 4 Little Paws Rescue and we’ve been having fun ever since. Now that we are neutered and fully vetted we are ready to find forever homes!

I’m a sweet and happy little 9.9 lb, 5-year-old Dachshund mix with a friendly personality and a loving nature. I make friends easily with people young and old, with no shyness at all. I get along great with other dogs, not too playful with my doggy friends, but I do have fun playing with doggy toys and snuggling on the couch beside you, and if there’s a blanket available, I’m an expert at wrapping myself up like a little burrito. I make a great lap dog, and I love pets and tummy rubs, going for walks, and taking rides in the car. I’m very well-behaved, rarely bark, and am fully housebroken. I know how to use a doggy door, go out to do my business, and come right back in when called. My foster mom says my brother and I are the easiest sweetest dogs she has ever fostered and that’s quite a testament since she has fostered many dogs. I hear the Eastern Seaboard is the place to be, so inquire about me today and bring me home.

* 4 Little Paws is based in CT. We adopt in many different states along the East Coast. Transport costs are included in the adoption fee. If you are located outside the states we typically adopt to, we have options to get the dog of your dreams to your location.

Additional adoption info

Please DO NOT apply unless the entire family / household is on board with adopting one of our dogs. We must receive an application for you to move forward in the process. Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
