My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Dennis, the magnificent Akita! At nearly 100 pounds, Dennis is big, bold, and gloriously handsome-truly a sight to behold. Despite his size, he's incredibly respectful on a leash and seems to be housetrained. Dennis is looking for a home that understands and appreciates the Akita breed, with all the loyalty and intelligence that comes with it.
Think you might be the perfect match for this stunning boy? Head over to www.northwoodshumanesociety.org, visit the adoptable animals page, scroll down, and fill out the dog adoption form. Additional adoption info

NHS works to place animals in good, loving homes. Potential families must complete a pre-adoption application. References are required and checked. There may be a 24 to 48 hour waiting period before adoption is finalized. All responsible adults in the family must be in agreement. The goal of NHS is for each adoption to be permanent.
