Oh, Farrah. We love you. This girl is one of those quintessential black dogs that is routinely overlooked in shelter and rescue systems. She was saved from a euthanasia list at a high kill shelter in Houston after she sat there unnoticed for an entire month. But you see, she’s a diamond in the rough. She was easy to care for there, didn’t have a single negative staff note, and was friendly with people and other dogs. We couldn’t let this girl die and knowing that her forever family has to be out there somewhere. We think Farrah is a lab/shepherd type mix that is about 55 pounds and about 2 years old. She is healthy with no ongoing medical issues. She’s crate trained and seems housetrained in her foster home. She does well with other dogs and enjoys a good play session once she feels safe with them, but what she really loves most is people! She soaks up any positive attention like a sponge, is smart as a whip, and routinely makes excellent eye contact and checks in with her human. This dog could be off leash trained and learn to do just about anything. She’s very smart and eager to please. She also is easy to have around. She matches her energy to those around her when she plays. Farrah is very human focused and she wants to do what you are doing-whether that’s chilling on the couch or being active outside the home. Please give this girl a chance. She’s ready to love her forever human(s).
Farrah is being fostered in Fort Collins, Colorado.
