My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Adoptable in: MA, RI, NH, CT, and VT

Good with dogs: Yes
Good with cats: Yes
Good with kids: Yes, dog savvy children
Crate trained: Yes
House Trained: Yes

Mirabelle is going to win you over with her playful personality and cozy cuddles. This upbeat pup finds joy in EVERYTHING, especially belly rubs. They’re her absolute favorite, and she’ll wiggle and waggle to showcase her enthusiasm. Whether she's tossing squeaky balls in the air, splashing in her kiddie pool (this pooch LOVES any body of water), or gleefully sticking her head out the car window, Mirabelle brings endless energy and frivolity to every moment. She’s a loving companion who thrives on attention and affection.

Mirabelle can’t get enough playtime with other dogs and loves to wrestle with them. Though she’s a bit shy with new people and large, pushy dogs, she warms up with time and loves the company of friendly faces. Mirabelle gets along great with older kids and is totally cool with cats but watch out—her love for food is so intense, she might stage a culinary coup if she spots their food! She’s eager to please, inquisitive, learns lightning-fast, and totally revels in being noticed and adored. She is house and crate-trained, sleeping through the night, only protesting containment in the morning for breakfast and belly rubs. If crated during the day, she might get a little vocal if the family is around and she wants to join the action. Easily excitable, she can be a bit jumpy at mealtime and when greeting friends. Always wanting to be part of action, she will pull if she sees another dog but is otherwise great on leashed walks.

Are you ready to bring a big dose of fun into the family fold? Maribelle will not disappoint! She’s sweet and sassy and will bring lighthearted energy to any home.

More about this rescue

Our mission at Last Hope K9 Rescue is to save every possible dog we can from being euthanized within high-volume kill shelters throughout the U.S.

As the literal “last hope” of nearly every animal we serve, we work tirelessly to place each one within a stable, loving environment that can act as either their forever home, or the gateway to their forever home. We also strive to ensure that all of our adoptions and foster placements are the optimal fit for everyone involved, including our dogs. This leads to our second goal: enriching human lives through canine companionship. To us, you can’t have one without the other.

Lastly, we promote animal welfare by lobbying important initiatives that both protect and give voice to the voiceless. By fostering an environment of collaboration with other organizations that share our goals, and working together instead of in competition, we find that we accomplish more.
