Winnie is an 8-year-old, 10-pound female chihuahua mix from Texas! Winnie is a sweet, cuddly, and relaxed pup. She is continuing to adjust during her time in New York City. Winnie enjoys snuggling under blankets, being with people, and relaxing in the park.
Winnie is doing well understanding “sit” and working on other obedience training. During her time with her foster family, she seems to be mostly potty pad trained, but we believe she is still adjusting to the new and overwhelming environment, and are working on getting her familiar with the city routine. Winnie does fine on the leash, she takes her time and walks at her own slowed down pace. Her forever family will need to continue working with Winnie to reinforce and advance the progress she’s been making.
Winnie has not yet been left home alone, though when she is put in her gated off area of the apartment, she wants to be let out and be able to be with people. She definitely prefers to be with people and dislikes being by herself. She absolutely loves to be cozy with her foster family and can often be found snuggled under the blankets.
Winnie is looking for a relaxed family. She appreciates downtime, and despite not being around another dog in her foster home, she probably would do best with another dog(s) around a similar age as her, or solo. We would recommend Winnie go to a home with no children or older c
Vaccinated for rabies, DHPP, and bordetella. Neutered, heartworm negative, and microchipped. Current on flea, tick, and heartworm prevention.
