Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hello Minnesota! I'm Rex, your dino-sized sweetheart from Mexico! I adore snuggling right on your lap, and you might hear me snoring contentedly when I'm extra happy. Walks are a blast, and although I can be a bit wiggly around the house, it's all part of my youthful charm. I'm still working on potty training, but I'm improving every day.

I do have some eye challenges-glaucoma and an ulcer are giving me some trouble. I'm on a regular eye drop schedule to help with this, and while my vision isn't very good, I'm managing just fine. I'm scheduled to lose my right eye, and maybe the left too, on Thursday, but for now, I'm making the best of it and staying upbeat. Looking forward to finding my forever home where I can share my big personality and even bigger heart!

Our adoption process involves completing a one-page adoption application. Applications are processed within 48 hours.

Adoption fees for cats/kittens are $130.00. All cats/kittens have been wormed, altered, tested for feline leukemia, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

Adoption fees for dogs/puppies are $300.00 All dogs/puppies have been wormed, altered, tested for heart worm, given age-appropriate vaccinations, and are microchipped.

We also offer our Senior for Senior program matching senior animals to people over the age of 63. Adoption fees are waived for this program.

More about this rescue

Camp Companion is a 501c3 organization established in 2003.

Based in Rochester MN, the organization is totally driven by volunteers.

Camp Companion is dedicated to providing low-cost spay and neuter services for feral, farm and stray companion animals. The organization is funded solely by donations, fundraisers, grants, and adoption fees. All funds we receive are used for veterinary expenses and the cost of care incurred for the animals waiting for their forever homes.

Through our spay / neuter efforts, we encounter kittens and stray domestic cats that need rescue services and a forever home. We have no shelter, but rely on foster homes to care for these rescued pets. Every animal we offer for adoption is spayed or neutered.
