Meet Scooby, the dog who’s ready to solve the mystery of who his new family will be! This one-year-old, reddish-brown sleuth is a friendly, goofy, tail-wagging machine. Guessed to be a pit bull/lab (or maybe pit bull/beagle?) mix, Scooby’s got the looks and the charm that’ll have you saying “Zoinks!” from the moment you meet him.

Scooby's not shy about being the center of attention—he's super social and loved hanging out with the kids and dogs in his former home. Cats? Well... that’s a mystery we haven’t solved yet, but Scooby is ready for adventure and eager to learn!

If you're looking for a fun, lovable sidekick to join your gang, Scooby’s your guy! So, pile into the Mystery Machine (or your car) and come meet him today—Scooby snacks optional!

His adoption fee is $200 and he comes neutered, current on vaccines, on flea/tick/heartworm prevention, and microchipped.

Additional adoption info

Our adoption fees for dogs includes spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, flea and tick prevention, heart worm prevention, heart worm tested, and microchip registration.

Adult Dogs: $200
Puppies: $225

Cat adoption fees include spay/neuter, age appropriate vaccines, de-wormer, FIV/FeLV testing, flea and tick prevention, and microchip registration.

Adult Cats: $75 (or $125 for a pair)
Kittens: $90 (or $150 for a pair)

Since 1979, the Effingham County Humane Society has been committed to serving Effingham County, IL and the surrounding area. We are located in the former Funkhouser School, and our non-profit shelter is sustained by volunteers, fundraising, contributions, and adoption fees.

The goal of the Effingham County Humane Society is to reduce animal suffering in our county through educating and promoting responsible pet ownership, including spaying/neutering pets, appropriate pet identification, proper pet care, and the quality adoption of homeless pets.
