How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by our Humane Law Enforcement team on June 05, 2024.

Why Karen is the one for you:
Meet Karen, a sweet tiger-striped girl who's looking for her new best friend! Karen is friendly and enjoys walks (especially if lots of sniffing is involved). She's a social pup who loves companionship, whether it's a human or another dog. She loves to chase tennis balls and will show off her zoomies once she gets comfortable. Karen is house trained, walks well on leash and is getting along well with the resident dog in her foster home. She's ready to meet you and share her unconditional love. Email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org to learn more about Karen!

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
