My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

ATDR 3614

Say hello to Edmund! This stunning long-haired young man was surrendered to ATDR by a breeder when she was sizing down on the number of pups she had. He's now being well cared for, enjoyed and loved in a comfortable foster home.

Edmund’s foster mom reports that he’s good with the adults and teenagers in the house. He plays nicely with the younger dogs but is a little too much for the seniors... He’s not food aggressive at all, sits nicely for grooming and bathing, stays off the furniture, sleeps in the crate after some minor complaints and is wearing a belly band while working on his house training. Edmund doesn’t bark a lot and he walks BEAUTIFULLY on a loose leash on your left. All in all he’s a very sweet, confident boy!

If you’re looking for a fabulous fellow to share all the good things in life with, please submit an adoption application for Edmund. He’ll be your devoted best friend and companion in no time.

More about this rescue

All Texas Dachshund Rescue, Inc., is made up of a group of volunteers whose primary goal is to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home disabled and otherwise endangered Dachshunds who have found themselves homeless for one reason or another. It is our policy that no dogs will be adopted out without first being spayed or neutered, have had all vaccines updated, are heartworm negative, are on heartworm preventative, and have had all other health issues we consider important to the pet’s life addressed that we are able.

All incoming Dachshunds will be placed in temporary foster homes, where they will be evaluated while living indoors with the foster families in a safe and nurturing home environment, until such time as they are ready to be placed in a loving, adoptive, forever home.

A 501(c)(3) non-profit organization.
