My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Status: available soon!

Give a warm welcome to our new arrival, Norman! A Good Samaritan fed him and his friend on the streets for 2 months. After we posted a heartbreaking video of them running after her car as she left, fosters stepped up to save them!

Norman will be available for adoption soon. In the meantime, can you donate to his care? He appreciates your generosity!

Keep up with Norman and the rest of The Street Dog Project:

More about this rescue

The Street Dog Project is comprised of a small group of volunteers who are passionate about saving street dogs in Dallas, TX. The majority of our team was previously heavily involved at another local street dog rescue but left for various reasons over the years. We wanted to save more lives so "got the band back together". We are an experienced team of rescuers, operating under a new name.

We have a lot of experience capturing elusive street dogs and helping them adjust to life in a loving home.

The dogs are taken to the vet upon rescue so they can be examined, dewormed, vaccinated, spayed/neutered, heartworm tested (and treated if positive) and attend to any other medical needs. Life on the streets is tough so a lot of the dogs we take in have beyond basic medical needs. Heartworm, mange, leg and eye injuries are some of the most common medical conditions we encounter.
We are an all-volunteer organization and rely on donations to save lives. Donations can be made by clicking the "donate now" button on our Facebook page or visiting www.thestreetdogproject.org. Thanks for your support!
