Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Rand entered San Bernardino City Animal Control as a stray. When he wasn't claimed, we scooped him up on September 9th to become a Frosted Face. Rand is 12 years old.
Rand joins volunteers and other Frosted Faces on a special outing that included stand-up paddle boarding and a stop at a coffee shop. Afterwards, Rand's "date" for the day shared:
"Rand is so sweet. He was great in the car and just sat on my lap. He was great on the paddle board, too. After he realized he was safe, he even decided to goo around behind me on the board and lay down between my feet.
Rand is a true foodie! After his paddle board ride, he got a doggie ice cream that he licked completely clean. He was great with all the other dogs.
Rand loves to be carried and sit on laps, but he is not a fan of the leash. I don't think he has a lot of practice with one on. He would try to pull away from it and even chew on it when his pulling didn't result in me letting go of it.
Rand was perfectly happy to walk with it on, as long as you were headed the direction he wanted to go. My guess is he was a sling dog in his previous life or didn't leave the house much. Other than his leash manners (which are easily taught), he is a sweet wonderful little man!"
Rand is currently on two-week Frosted Fling, so we can learn what he is like in a home. 24 hours in, his Fling Mom shared:
"Rand is following me around, comes when I call him, and last night, asked to come up on the couch to lay with me. I'm guessing he'll be up on the bed at night in the next couple of days! \ No barking (as yet anyway), and when I'm busy in the house, he lies quietly in a dog bed nearby. Rand is a sweet, cute little fellow waiting to see who wants to be his family!"
Check back soon for the next update!
