My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

?? Meet Louisa, Our Brave 2-3-Year-Old Pup With the Best Personality on a Remarkable Journey! ?? Louisa's story is one of resilience and hope. She came to us from Chicago Animal Care and Control (CACC), where her life was at risk due to medical issues. ?? At just 2-3 years old, Louisa faces a unique challenge - she doesn't use her back leg at all, and X-rays have revealed a concerning issue. ?? But what truly sets her apart is her incredible personality! Louisa is a bundle of joy and love, captivating everyone she meets with her warm and affectionate nature. ?? ?? Right now, we are awaiting results for a blastomycosis test to rule out this fungal infection. (Blastomycosis is a condition that can affect dogs and humans, usually transmitted through inhaling fungal spores from the environment.) ?? If it's not blastomycosis, the grim possibility we're facing is osteosarcoma, a type of bone cancer. ?? But there's a ray of hope! Louisa is blessed to be in a loving foster home, where her foster parents can't stop raving about her. ?? And here's where it gets even more incredible - Live Like Roo has graciously agreed to sponsor her care if she does indeed have osteosarcoma. ?? We are covering the cost of Louisa's blastomycosis test and providing her with the best possible care in the meantime. ?? But we need your support to continue helping Louisa on her journey to recovery. ?? Please consider making a donation, no matter how big or small, to ensure that Louisa, our 2-3-year-old sweetheart with the most heartwarming personality, receives the care and love she truly deserves. ???? Your contribution can make a world of difference in Louisa's life. Let's come together and give her the chance to live a full and happy life, no matter what challenges may come her way. ??
