My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What a clown this big-eared bunny is! Roswell in only about 8 months old and he acts like a baby bunny too. He's a long, lanky guy that is still growing into his ears! This happy bunny was dumped in a city park when someone no longer wanted him. Roswell has put all of that behind him and is so happy to be safe and among friends now. He loves people and has no shyness about being picked up and getting lots of attention. He's active and curious, and he rarely stops hopping around, wiggling his nose at everything. Roswell seems happy to greet the other bunnies in his area and he's young enough to become friends with another bunny and be litter box-trained too. Come meet Roswell, you'll love him! More about this shelter

The Associated Humane Societies rescues stray and homeless animals, both domestic and wildlife, providing quality care and sanctuary until loving homes can be found. As a community-based organization, we provide low-cost veterinary care and humane education to promote responsible pet guardianship throughout New Jersey.

For over a century we have offered a haven to abused and neglected animals. Founded in 1906, AHS is the largest animal sheltering system in New Jersey, operating three shelters located in Newark, Forked River, and Tinton Falls. Our Forked River facility also includes Popcorn Park. Established in 1977, Popcorn Park is a sanctuary for abandoned, injured, ill, exploited, abused or elderly wildlife, exotic and farm animals, and birds.

The Society is a not for profit, 501(c)3 organization and we take pride in our devotion to the thousands of animals that come through our doors looking for a better life.

Please visit our website AHSCares.org for additional information.
