My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

>How this pet arrived:
This pet was brought in by their previous owner.

At SDHS:
This pet has been vaccinated, microchipped and spayed/neutered. This pet is now ready for their new home!

Why this pet is the one for you:
Meet Attica! This striking black cat, with a hint of white hair in his adorable ears, is looking for a new loving home. Proud of his sleek coat, Attica is a gentle and shy fellow who appreciates a calm and peaceful environment. Having lived with children, dogs and cats he prefers being the only pet in a quiet household where he can sleep undisturbed and not have to protect his turf. Attica wants to be your one and only by your side, begging for food and treats, and giving soft meows to show his affection. Attica has blossomed in his foster's home just as he will in his new home. If you want a loyal cat who thinks that you are totally wonderful, Attica might be a match for you. To meet Attica, call us at 619 299 7012 or email us at sdcadoptions@sdhumane.org and we will make arrangement with Attica's foster parent for you and Attica to meet. Attica is ready.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
