My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Gordo, a super-friendly pup who's ready to fill your life with joy! He's an active boy who adores the outdoors and loves running around. When it comes to meeting new people and dogs, Gordo is all about friendly introductions, wagging his tail and greeting everyone with a smile.

Gordo is a polite pup-he takes treats gently, especially if cheese is involved, and he knows how to sit like a true gentleman.

Playtime? Gordo is up for a quick run, he shows interest in toys but isn't possessive-he's all about enjoying the moment.

Behavior notes:

Per volunteer 9/17: Gordo was very easy to leash and get out of the kennel. There was a photoshoot going on so gordo was pretty fixated on everyone walking by and tired himself out pretty quickly. He was uninterested in any toys or treats, but loved pets! A very handsome man!

Per Volunteer 9/15: Gordo is a fun loving boy who loves head pets and will smile while enjoying it. He'll rest his head on your leg and sweetly await your affection. He was a star in the welcome center area, friendly with everyone! He was a joy to spend time with and I am sure his forever family is out there. Check out his video where you see how wonderful he is and pictures, especially his professional photo which he did great with! Come to ACCT to meet him!

Per staff 9/11: Gordo was very frustrated on leash and aroused during his dog meet. He was very fixated on getting to the other dog and initially was friendly towards them, but would quickly reach his threshold and begin to snap at the other dog, especially if he would not reach him. He would fixate on other dogs in the distance as well and was very over aroused. Slow meets!!

If you're looking for a gentle, affectionate companion who's ready to be part of your adventures, Gordo is your guy! Adopt Gordo today and give him the loving home he deserves.

Eligible for rescue, foster, and adoption. Meet Gordo at ACCT Philly any day of the week from 10:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., or email foster@acctphilly.org to express interest in fostering him.

Behavior notes:
9/10/24 volunteer notes: Volunteer noted: Gordo is very friendly and snuggly!!! He loves the outdoors and running! Despite living in a crate his spirits are very high. Gordo takes treats gently and seems to be friendly towards other dogs and new people.
