It doesn't get much prettier than Janet!

This 8 year old kitty was surrendered to FVHA due to undergoing stress after a new baby came into the home, resulting inconsistency using the litterbox. Upon further testing here at the shelter, it was determined that Janet would benefit from being on a renal diet.

Janet has previously done well with dogs, and is hoping to find a home with no young children. This affectionate lap cat loves sleeping in bed with her humans, and enjoys basking in the sunshine. She is young at heart, and still enjoys a good game with a laser pointer or wand toy!

Janet is spayed and has received core vaccinations (Feline Distemper, Rabies), flea preventative, has been dewormed, and is microchipped.

1.
Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

If you are interested in adopting and meeting one of our adoptable animals one-on-one, we will have you fill out our adoption questionnaire.

2.
Meet the Pet

After completing the adoption questionnaire, you will be paired with one of our Adoption Counselors to help you find the right match.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

If a match is made, we will finalize the adoption paperwork and have you sign an adoption contract.

4.
Take the Pet Home

Once the contract is signed you may take your new pet home, typically same day!

The Fox Valley Humane Association believes in caring for pets and their people. We have an open adoption process, and our goal is to get to know potential adopters on a personal level and best match them with a new companion. We encourage you to stop by during our open hours to meet our adoptable animals.

The Fox Valley Humane Association is open to the public during the following hours. You do not need an appointment to view our adoptable animals, we welcome visitors anytime during our viewing hours. In order to best serve you, please plan on arriving at least 30 minutes prior to closing to meet with an Adoption Counselor and ensure adequate time to visit with our adoptable animals.
