Lavender is a 9 week old female pit bull puppy. This sweet baby was dumped in the middle of the road along with another puppy. Thank goodness a good Samaritan called the police and the puppies were taken to a safe shelter.
She was filled with worms to the point that her belly looked like it was ready to explode. In addition, she was covered in fleas and malnourished.
Lavender has settled in fast and is LOVING life in her foster home. She loves other dogs and loves to play!
Amazingly, she is already catching on to potty training and is incredibly smart!
Unfortunately, it is believed that Lavender is deaf. It definitely doesn't slow her down, but it should be taken into consideration with her day to day life and her training.
She is still learning that she isn’t going to starve anymore and that she will always have food. But for now she scarfs down her food as fast as possible so she gets several small meals a day as she continues to adjust.
We think a yard with a physical fence would be best for Lavender’s safety but it is not a requirement. No invisible fences.
Applicant must be within an hour distance of the Cleveland area.

After the potential adopter is approved to adopt, the adopter is required to fill out an adoption agreement at the time of the adoption which clearly states all requirements and agreements between the adopter and Dogs Unlimited Rescue.

Our rescue animals are fostered in approved homes. these homes and fosters are carefully chosen and qualified on a case by case basis. We conduct adoption events at Pet People in Woodmere and Hudson, OH as well as combine fundraisers with adoption events to promote Rescue efforts and recruit volunteers and donors.

Dogs Unlimited Rescue, Inc. is an all volunteer non-profit 501(c)3 organization that is dedicated to educating the public and saving abused and neglected animals from an uncertain fate. Our organization rescues animals from high kill shelters, abuse or neglect cases, owner surrenders, and the breeding parents in Ohio puppy mills that would otherwise be inhumanely disposed of.
