Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Bently, the 3-year-old pint-sized prince of floof and class who’s here to prove that "designer breed" names can be as fancy as a five-star restaurant, but at the end of the day, he’s just a loveable Cocker Spaniel/Poodle mix who prefers to keep things real (and occasionally, a little goofy). At 16 lbs, this Cockapoo...yes Cockapo— one of those fancy breed names that sounds like it should come with a side of caviar, is the perfect size for all things lap-sitting, couch-sharing, and shadow-following. Oh, and let’s not forget, Bently is that "annoying little brother" type — but in the most adorable way possible. He has a soft spot for other dogs, especially his chosen bestie, another Cocker Spaniel who can’t seem to shake him. Wherever his buddy goes, Bently’s right there, like a fluffy sidekick on a mission.
Bently found his way to us through no fault of his own. His previous owner adored him, but unfortunately, due to lupus and mobility issues, she could no longer walk him, and without a fenced yard, keeping up with his needs became too difficult. Now, Bently’s looking for a new home that can keep up with his shadow-following tendencies and give him the love he deserves.
Bently’s got all the charm of a Cockapoo – which means get ready for some seriously goofy antics. Picture this: you’ve just fluffed up your pillows for a cozy evening on the couch, and BAM! There’s Bently, mid-launch, claiming that prime seat like he’s royalty. And here’s a quick PSA for future Bently owners – if you’ve ever dreamed of becoming a professional dog stylist, this is your chance! With a coat like his, regular grooming is an absolute must. Skip a few grooming sessions, and Bently might start looking less like a fancy Cockapoo and more like a walking tumbleweed. He’ll need proper trims to keep that fluff under control, and don’t be surprised if he rocks the occasional "post-bath zoomies" after getting pampered. While Bently hasn’t quite figured out how to get playful yet, his joy lies in being part of the action. Whether you’re curling up on the couch or taking a casual stroll, he’s ready to be your loyal shadow. Don’t worry, he’s not too high-maintenance; his energy level is as easygoing as they come. Sure, he’s got a few playful spurts here and there, but mostly he’s just happy to hang out.
He’s got this whole leash thing almost figured out — sure, he might need a little more practice, but he’s definitely no novice. Car rides? Well, let’s just say he’s more of a "can I get a boost, please?" kind of guy. And while his hormones might still be sorting themselves out post-neuter, his house manners are already top-notch. No chewing on your favorite shoes, no random potty accidents — unless he’s feeling extra "decorative" and leaves a little territorial mark (he’s working on it, okay?).
Bently’s also a bit of a couch connoisseur. Yes, he’s the kind of dog who firmly believes that furniture is meant for all four-legged friends. He’s not much of a barker unless something spooky catches his attention, and when it comes to cats or kids, he’s as chill as they come. He’s a gentleman around the feline crowd and probably wouldn’t mind some older kiddos in the mix either.
In short, if you’re looking for a low-maintenance, high-adorable factor companion who loves dogs, enjoys people, and just wants to be part of the gang, Bently’s your guy. Just be ready for him to follow you — and your other dog — everywhere!
