My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Application Review Date - 09/16/2024

Animal Profile: Simon  is a 11 week old Lab/Aussie mix (best guess) who will be joining us from Texas on 09/07. His mom is a purebred Chocolate Lab that was purchased from a breeder, and wound up in the wrong hands when her family had to rehome her when they moved. Mom was allowed to free range, and had multiple litters, but this will be her last! Based on the coat types and size, we think dad was probably an Aussie type. Mom Cocoa has a sweet temperament; she’s friendly with dogs, cats and kids. These puppies are being raised in a foster home with other animals and small children, and will be great family pets.

Foster Update:  Meet Simon! He's such a sweet and adorable pup who absolutely loves people! He's getting better about crate training and since he's a puppy he's still working on potty training. And he's definitely half lab as he loves food so makes training easier. Speaking of training, he has already learned to sit, lay down, and is learning to wait until his food is on the ground all within the first day of being here! He gets along great with other dogs and kids. I think Simon would do best with an active family and no apartments as he can be quite load at times.

Adoption Info: Adoption fee is $550 which includes spay/neuter, core vaccinations per AVMA standards, heartworm test if applicable, microchip with registration, and health certificate. Your adoption fee may be tax deductible as DGS is a 501c3 organization. All adoption fees go toward the care of all dogs in our rescue.
