CHARLIE NEEDS A FOSTER OR FOREVER HOME!!!!
Name: Charlie Best Guess for Breed: Lab and beagle mix
Best Guess for Age: 9 months as of September 2024 SEX: Male
Approximate Weight: 27 lbs as of 9/7/24; he is still growing
Gets Along With: Charlie is good with other dogs! We have tested him with some of the cats at the shelter and while he did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that he could live with a cat, he has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!
We haven't seen him with kids but he can be tested.
Currently Living at: Puerto Rico shelter; needs a foster or forever home in the DC area to escape!
Special Adoption Considerations: After being rescued from the streets, he was very scared and shut down. However, he has been making great strides. We think Charlie would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure he can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence.
Charlie is Looking For: His forever home! Charlie is from a Puerto Rico shelter, barely out of puppyhood, and hasn't seen nearly enough of the world. He's eager to get his own humans in the DC area. Long sniffy walks, romps in the park, all the adventures his new family can dream up - yes, please! Making new pup and people pals along the way sounds great to him too. Most of all, though, he wants to know he's safe and loved and under his own roof.
He's a Very Good Boy who will make an awesome, loyal, loving companion. What do you say? Will he be yours?
What My Foster Says About Me: We will update this once he has arrived in the DC area and spent some time with his foster
