Name: Sophie Best Guess for Breed: Lab/Bassett Mix
Best Guess for Age: 7 months as of September 2024 SEX: Female
Approximate Weight: 16 lbs
Gets Along With: Other dogs; not sure about kids yet, but we can find out! We have tested Sophie with some of the cats at the shelter, and she did not seem particularly interested in chasing or pouncing on the cat. While this is a positive sign that Sophie could live with a cat, she has not done so to our knowledge. If you have cats in your home, we are happy to discuss with you how to best introduce a new pup to your pack!
Currently Living at: Shelter--needs a foster or forever home!
Sophie is Looking For: A happy place to learn, grow, and be loved! I'm looking forward to meeting some sweet humans who are ready for all the love I'm ready to give, and will take me on all sorts of fun adventures.
Special Adoption Considerations: After being rescued from the streets, she was very scared and shut down. However, she has been making great strides. We think Sophie would do best with either a resident dog or a family who can make sure she can go on walks regularly with other dogs, visit the dog park, or go to doggie daycare to continue to build confidence.
