Meet Dory, a delicate and gentle soul in search of her forever family! This beautiful lab mix weighs in at a petite 35 lbs and has already endured so much in her young life, having been rescued from the tough streets of Texas. Dory is a scared little girl who takes a bit of time to warm up, but once she does, she reveals her sweet and shy nature that will melt your heart.

Dory is great with other dogs, and she finds comfort in their presence, often looking to them for reassurance. With a little patience and a lot of love, this timid girl will blossom into a loyal and loving companion. Dory is looking for a quiet, nurturing home where she can feel safe and secure as she learns to trust and embrace her new life. Are you the one to show her that the world can be a beautiful place?

IMPORTANT: This dog has not yet been altered. SNARR requires a $150 deposit in addition to your adoption fee, as well as a strictly enforced Spay/Neuter Contract stating you will have this dog altered within 6 months of adoption. The $150 deposit will be returned once the contract has been fulfilled.

An application, agreement, personal reference check, vet reference check and home visit are required.

Adoption fees are below. All of our animals are microchipped, up to date on vaccines and fully vetted.

Puppies under 1 year : $495
Adults 1-9 years: $375
Adults 9+ years: $300
Special Needs Animals: dependant on specific animal and his or her needs

ADDITIONAL DEPOSIT of $125 for spay/ neuter for all unaltered dogs unless the spay/neuter

We are located at 46 Sodom Road, Brewster, NY. You can come stop by 7 days a week from 11am-4pm. While we have 15-18 dogs housed at our adoption center, the majority of our dogs are located in private foster homes.

SNARR Northeast Animal Rescue's mission is "Giving Hope to the Hopeless.” SNARR stands for Special Needs Animal Rescue and Rehabilitation. We do focus on animals with special needs but we also rescue perfectly healthy dogs as well! SNARR works with municipal shelters all over the country to save animals at risk for being euthanized. Our dogs (and cats) are all in foster homes prior to being adopted.
