Here's what the humans have to say about me:
In West Lebanon, NH
Britches is a sweet and loving 6-month-old, neutered mini Aussie, weighing around 20 lbs, and he’s all set to find his forever home! He was rescued in Oklahoma and went on professional transport to New England to find his furever home.
He loves to be close to his people, often bringing his favorite chew toy into your lap for some cozy playtime. Britches is curious and full of puppy energy, always eager to explore and learn new things. Though a bit shy at the dog park and often playing solo, he’s starting to warm up to socializing with other dogs. As he grows in confidence, his playful spirit is shining through. Potty training is nearly complete, with only the occasional accident.
He’s incredibly easygoing when it comes to grooming tasks like baths and nail trimming. Britches has already mastered commands like ‘sit,’ ‘down,’ ‘wait,’ and ‘touch,’ and shows great potential for agility courses thanks to his high jumps and enthusiasm.
Since he’s still a young, energetic puppy, Britches would do best with a family who can spend long hours with him and take him on adventures to explore the world. Britches gets along wonderfully with people, children, and other dogs. He’s eager to bring his joy and loyalty to his forever family.
Being fostered in New Hampshire.
If Britches sounds perfect for your family, please fill out our application:

More about this rescue
Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.
In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 67,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.
Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.
We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
