My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This is Lila II! She is 2.5 years old and 55 lbs. She is a Lab Retriever mix breed with the softest floppy ears! She is very low maintenance and can be nervous around new people, but she has a lot of love to give once she trusts you! I rescued her 2 years ago from Arlington Animal Shelter when she was just a pup. I needed her more than she needed me at the time I got her. She has been the best companion these last two years. Lila is fully vaccinated, microchipped, and spayed. Lila is shy at first, she mostly enjoys napping, but of course, enjoys our big backyard. She gets the zoomies, goes after squirrels, and loves to chew on her ropes and bones! Lila is amazing with children and gets along with other small dogs. The other big dogs she’s been around have been iffy, mostly because she gets scared and is not a dominant girly. She enjoys solo napping but loves to be loved on as well. She doesn’t mind sleeping in her own bed, so she doesn’t have to hog your bed! Lila is fully house-trained and is familiar with a crate. We are working on being better on a leash! Lila is very smart and knows how to sit, shake, lay down, and stay. Her ideal home would be a family or even a smaller-sized home that is low-key. Someone who works from home would be similar to what’s she been used to these last two years, but she does great being at the house by herself as well. I am having to relocate my residency due to an unfortunate family situation and cannot take Lila with me. Please help me rehome her and prevent her from returning to the shelter. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * If you have a specific question about Lila II, then please email newdigs@dallaspetsalive.org.
