My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I know I shouldn’t pick favorites, but I have to say that this has been my favorite litter of the last two years of fostering with VCAS. These kittens have been people oriented since day one. And, their mom (whom they have been raised by during my time fostering them) is the sweetest, most laidback cat I have ever met. So they truly had great stock, and a great role model. They all follow me around and play on my lap as if I were a jungle gym. And, when they exhaust themselves, they plop down for a nap. Since they are such sweeties, I named them after sweet treats.

This cutie is named Sundae. She has the most unique coat pattern I’ve ever seen. She has a tabby patterned spot on her forehead and a tabby patterned tail, but beyond that, she is stark white with little black freckles specking her paws. Sundae is adorable. And her personality is equally beautiful. Sundae is playful, yet mellow. She really has a well-balanced temperament. Sundae will need a companion/playmate who can reciprocate her bursts of energy, and to keep her company throughout the day.

More about this shelter

Ventura County Animal Services (VCAS) operates two shelters within the county. The large main shelter in Camarillo houses over 400 pets and the administrative offices. Our smaller facility in Simi Valley houses nearly 40 pets at a time.

Each year, Ventura County Animal Services cares for more than 10,000 animals. Our goal is to reunite lost pets with their owners and find life-long homes for as many animals as possible, while providing proper care during their stay.
