Minnie-6837 Is an incredibly sweet and docile girl. Minnie came into foster today but so far we are seeing a very well mannered, laid back and smart dog. Out and about Minnie has been complimented on her good behavior and calm demeanor multiple times. Another plus for Minnie is She loves children! When she sees them she gets very happy and lets them love all over her. She is good with dogs with a proper introduction and plays very well with them outside etc but can sometimes struggle with sharing her humans attention …so experience with a more dominant/ alpha dog is a plus. Minnie is very attentive to her people and wants to be with them always. She stays focused on you when out in public. She is very smart and I believe to be easily trainable. She has excellent recall and knows sit. I have also been told Minnie is crate and potty trained. Don’t miss out on this wonderful girl who would make a fantastic family dog.

Additional adoption info

An applicant first submits an application form with a non-refundable $10.00 (cash or check only) processing fee. VGSR reviews the application, then schedules an interview and home visit during which a number of questions are asked and the home is reviewed to be sure there is a contained/safe yard, and to meet the family involved. Once the application is approved, the applicant is asked to submit a $250.00 (cash or check ONLY) minimum adoption donation to VGSR to help defray the costs of getting the dog fully vetted and ready to be adopted, and the adoption is completed.

More about this rescue

We provide a valuable service by finding good homes for the German Shepherd Dogs in our care. In the seven plus years that we have been in existence, we have found homes for over 2,400 deserving dogs. We are currently enlisting active volunteers to help with the task of placing some really wonderful, but homeless, German Shepherd Dogs. Our goal is to place all GSDs that are accepted into our Rescue in loving homes in which the GSD and the family will thrive together.
