My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Welcome Betty

Betty is a super laid back DSH brown tabby, who is approximately 6 years old. She was surrendered to MAR from a situation with too many cats in the household. She is a little chunky and will need to continue her weight loss journey. She is house trained, microchipped, up to date on her vaccinations, spayed, and ready to be adopted!

Betty is a sweetheart, and loves to chat! She will greet you at the door, meowing her hello’s. She is not really into toys, but would prefer to simply cuddle, be pet, and get head scratches. She loves to be around her people and will follow you around room to room. She will do well in a home on her own, or with other calm cats/respectful dogs.

If you are interested in this sweet girl, please visit our website at www.muskokaanimalrescue.com and complete an application form.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT! YOUR SUPPORT SAVES LIVES!

As we are a rescue group, we don't have a shelter, just loving foster homes throughout Muskoka. Please contact us to make an appointment to see an animal.

More about this rescue

We are a volunteer-based, donation-only service that provides adoption services for people who are looking for a new furry addition to their family. We also provide non-judgemental, supportive help for people who are surrendering their companion animals.

We provide free advice and suggestions to people who are experiencing issues with their pets, including but not limited to behavioural issues, training advice, surrender help, and much more: spay/neuter education, advice and referrals.

We have a screening process that includes an application, telephone screen and a home visit to make sure the people are "as good as they sound on the phone". We also contact their vet and do a reference check.

We are committed to helping people find homes for their pets because we care about our community and love animals.
