My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Please meet Sasparilla. This sweet beauty might possibly be the most
perfect dog at the shelter and shes definitely the winner of the SOCIAL
BUTTERFLY contest! She recently arrived at PACC after being saved by a
kind person and she has definitely taken over our hearts. She has all
those wonderful traits that make her incredibly easy to love: friendly,
well-behaved, gentle, easy-going, mild-mannered, tolerant, and super loving.

This tender-hearted gal certainly hasnt had the easiest life it appears
shes been bred way too many times and then ended up living on the
streets. But in spite of whatever sadness shes endured, it hasnt
affected her shining spirit one bit. She has such an amazing attitude and
is so eager to have human companionship. Heres just a small sample of
things we adore about her:

-Shes very people-oriented and makes friends easily she truly believes
everyone is her best friend.

-Shes so happy all.the.time. She constantly has a smile on her face and
her tail never stops wagging.

-She follows instructions well and will sit for treats which she takes
very patiently and softly.

-Shes simple to leash up and she walks easily and in-sync with her
handlers pace. Shes curious about other dogs going by but is never
reactive.

-She has the ideal mix of energy - plenty of spunk and liveliness but also
relaxed and mellow.

-Shes very affectionate and thoroughly enjoys being petted and praised.
She gives excellent kisses too!

-Shes a nice combination of being independent blended with being a Velcro
dog.

Sasparilla was fast-tracked when she arrived at the shelter because she
easily allowed staff to interact with her even when getting her
vaccinations. When she attends play group, shes tolerant and social when
meeting other dogs and oftentimes even engages in play. The handlers say
overall shes an easy-going gal but sometimes she can get a little too
exuberant and assertive when interacting with other dogs. She shares a
kennel with a shy male dog her size and gets along well.

This cheerful and devoted gal is definitely a dog who will lift your
spirits and make you feel loved! And since she craves human companionship,
she needs a kind and caring home with someone who can spend plenty of time
doting on her and giving her the soft, comfortable retirement life a gal o
