My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet **Little Debby**, a spirited 9-year-old senior Chihuahua with a big personality packed into her tiny frame. Don't let her age fool you-Debby has plenty of energy and thrives with regular walks or playtime in a fenced yard. She's incredibly smart, already responds to her name, and will quickly become your most loyal, cuddly companion. If you're looking for a dog that loves being close to you-whether curled up in your lap or following you around the house-Debby is your girl. Though she's small, she's got a feisty side and has no problem holding her own, even around much larger dogs (though she'll do best in a home with non-alpha, non-reactive pups). Little Debby adores baths, being carried, and never misses a meal. She's food motivated, house-trained, and leash-trained. Whether it's sunbathing on the patio, enjoying a car ride, or lounging in her crate (which she sees as her personal safe space), she's got her routine down. This tiny alpha dog might be independent when you're away, but when you're home, she's all about you-her favorite place to be is right by your side. Little Debby does have some surgeries coming up and medical needs to attend to, but don't let that stop you from loving this tiny angel. If you're ready for a cuddly, energetic, and fearless best friend, Little Debby is ready for you!

Additional adoption info

Please visit www.hopeanimals.org/adopt to learn more about our adoption process and to complete an adoption application.

Adoption Fee includes spay/neuter*, microchipping, up-to-date vaccinations, and current heartworm and flea/tick preventatives.

*If pet is not old enough to be spayed or neutered prior to adoption, a $50.00 credit will be paid to your vet at the time of surgery.

We require a veterinary reference for current pet owners, and pets must be up to date on vaccines and heartworm preventative. We meet potential adopters in their homes and introduce the pets to the family's current pets to see if it is a good match. A copy of our adoption contract can be requested via email.
