Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi! My name is Soba, I am a spayed female kitten. I was found as a stray September 2024 with my sister Somen. We were brought to MaxFund and are now looking for our fur-ever home!
Me and Somen are bonded, which means we cannot be separated and must be adopted together. When we came in we were very afraid of people. I have learned that I like cheek scratches and I am learning to be friendly. If you come meet me, start by gently offering your finger for me to sniff, and if I want attention I will rub my cheek on your hand. Please go slow with me and give me space while I continue to get comfortable with people.
My sister Somen is still very shy, hopefully she will open up by watching me interact with people. We are looking for someone who is willing to work with us and give us the time we need to get comfortable and feel safe. We might do best in a calm home with no other pets or young kids.
If you think we would be a good fit for your home, come to the shelter to meet us! The shelter hours are Sunday - Monday, & Wednesday - Saturday (Closed Tuesday) 9:30 AM - 4:30 PM, Closed 12:00 PM - 1:00 PM for lunch.

More about this shelter
The MaxFund is a non-profit organization that was established in May of 1988 to provide medical care for injured pets with no known owners, and to seek out new homes for these animals once they have recovered. The MaxFund is a no-kill dog and cat shelter. MaxFund assists hundreds of people and animals each year by trying to make the correct match between owner and pet. MaxFund adopts our animals to Colorado residents only.
The MaxFund is a TRUE no-kill shelter. There is no pre-sorting of animals into "adoptable" and "non-adoptable" categories, discarding the so-called "unadoptable." The MaxFund takes every animal it has the space for. EVERY animal is kept until its owner is found or it is placed in a new adoptive home.
