My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Sophie and her brother were found all alone and no one ever came looking for them. Her brother has since been adopted but Sophie is still looking for her own family to love. Sophie is a very very sweet and friendly girl who get along with other dogs. We do not know what she think of cats. Sophie is about 6-7 months old and 37 pounds. Please help Sophie find the loving home she deserves.

Update: Sophie went to the vet for some hair loss around her feet. Although he did not see anything under the microscope, the vet wanted to treat it as he was suspicious of demodex mites and gave Sophie a shot of ivermectin and recommended a 2nd shot in a month to complete the treatment. If Sophie is adopted prior to his 2nd shot, we would ask the adopter to bring her back to our vet (we would pay for it) for the final shot. Sophie is currently available for adoption

We do NOT ship our animals. All adoptive families must travel to us to meet their adoptive dog/cat. Applicants must live within a 2 hour radius from Sparta/Andover (07871/07821).

Please understand that we are an animal shelter and thus unable to say whether the dogs are housebroken as they are not in homes.

Sophie's adoption fee is $425. This covers all their age-appropriate shots, microchipping and vetting.

**If you are coming to an adoption event to see a certain dog/cat, please email ahead of time to make sure that dog/cat will be there that day. Please email 1-2 days before the event, as some animals are placed during the week and our list is constantly changing.
