My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Marley, a beautiful young kitten, with a heart as soft as her fur!

Marley came in with her brother, Marvin, and would love to go to a home where they could stay together.

Marley is quite the energetic little girl, and loves to play with all her toys, tunnels, and cat trees. She is also quite content watching the birds fly by from the window perch.

When Marley isn't playing with her toys or zooming on her cat trees, she loves spending her downtime cuddled up on a blanket with or next to her favorite people.

If you're looking for a loving feline companion to brighten your days and fill your home with warmth, Marley is the purrfect choice.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
