Hi, I`m Botinge! While I may be a giant 96lbs I am truly a gentle giant especially once I get some of my energy out!
I went on a doggie day out adventure with a volunteer on 9/28 and here is what they had to say!
`Bo is such a gentle giant. He loves people so much, he enjoyed getting so much pets from other people during the walk. But he’s not pushy, doesn’t jump or get too close to people when they don’t seem to be interested in engaging. He’s a big dog but 1 to 1.5 miles of relaxed walk seemed enough to make him tired. For the rest of the day, we just relaxed on the grass area. He pulled the leash a bit at first but wasn’t anything I could not control. We saw him getting a bit excited when he saw a squirrel but nothing crazy, I just pulled back the leash and he calmed down. He didn’t care about birds. We went the arboretum in UC Davis and had a relaxing walk of 1-1.5 miles. He loved seeing other people and went to say hi to everyone. He looked a bit tired after the walk so we decided to have a picnic at a local park after that. On our way to the park, we stopped by the pet food store to buy snacks for him, he was very polite and well behaved in the store. He was a bit dusty so we also bought a brush and wipes for him. Overall he was such a good boy and we had so much fun with him. I know he’s a big dog but he definitely seemed to have low to moderate energy so I think his potential owner doesn’t have to be a super active person. I hope he will be adopted by a good person, he has so much love to give and deserves a wonderful life.`
