Meet Happy, a bundle of pure energy and excitement. This lively puppy is full of vim and vigor, always ready to play and explore. Her enthusiasm is contagious, but her intensity can be a bit too much for little ones. Because of her jumping and rough play style, she'll need to live with kids at least nine years old. Happy is quite vocal, expressing her feelings loudly and clearly whether she is barking at people or other animals. She has no experience living with other pets. She's also quite needy, requiring a lot of attention and care. She doesn't like to be alone but also doesn't care much for being petted. She has too much to do to spend her time cuddling. She weighs 17 pounds and would thrive in a home with a spacious yard where she can burn off her energy. Her recent adopters said she was too energetic for them. Happy is a quick learner but needs training to help her channel her energy productively. She does know the sit and shake commands and knows that "up" means to stand on her hind legs. She'll need your guidance and help with house training and leash walking. Adopting Happy means inviting a whirlwind of joy into your life. CAP adoption fees include a variety of services - age-appropriate vaccinations, canine heartworm, and feline leukemia tests, spaying/neutering, deworming treatment, microchipping to name a few - the total value of which exceeds $450. These minimal adoption fees cover only part of each animal's stay at our shelter - please help us keep adoption fees low while maintaining the high quality of care for the animals in our charge by donating and/or volunteering.
