My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

This dapper little gentleman is the sweetest snuggler. He is housetrained and crate-trained, but when you are home he wants to be with you. He lovingly lays at your feet if your lap is not available. He comes when he's called and knows the command "kennel." He loves walks and is great on a leash. His jaunty little bounce of a walk will make you smile.

He is a friendly little guy with the nose-bump of a golden retriever to get you to pet him and a loving stare that will both make your heart melt and get you laughing. He loves our golden retriever and tolerates our bouncy poodle puppy. He does chase cats in our yard.

He also loves to swing! He would sit by you or in your lap all day if you had a porch swing or a glider. Out back he loves to chase lizards and toads. He is a handsome and smart boy who will be a great addition to your family.

Additional adoption info

Step 1: You pay an Application Fee and submit your Adoption Application.

Step 2: We review your Application and decide whether you meet our Adoption Criteria.

Step 3: If applicable, we'll call your veterinarian to confirm vet care for current and previous pets.

Step 4: A volunteer will contact you for a Phone Interview to clear up any questions we might have.

Step 5: We'll schedule a Home Visit so you can show us where your new dog will sleep, eat and play.

Step 6: We all work together to find the right Dachshund for you and your family.

Step 7: You sign an Adoption Contract, pay the Adoption Fee, and take home your new family member!
